Gotta love a redneck repair. whenever I do something like this, it always entails at least 3 trips to the hardware store and a lot of cursing to git r done.

Those plastic drains with the P.O. plug that is plastic leak sometimes when you tighten
the tailpiece into them.They give you those with faucets that you buy.I always use the completely brass kind instead of those plastic ones.

Typo:quartet is quarter or preferably quarter turn valves.

The best shutoffs to buy are the quartet turn kind.They don’t require you to keep turning them to shut the water completely off.You can
buy them from Lowes etc.They adapt to the existing valves that you have if you buy the
ones that have the 3/8 nut on them for a male connection.They are a female connection.

LOL No its just in my place i did the same thing and didnt put it shut offs and after a bung of times crawling in the crawl space to shut off water i was like damn should put them shut off during my first repair. lol. I was kicking my self in the ass lol
